Creative February posters

Artist Jeannine Storan has created this beautiful poster in consultation with students in Presentation School in Listowel and Scoil Chríost an Rí Primary School Causeway, Co. Kit & Caboodle is a brand new FREE digital resource for teachers surrounding the visual art curriculum, designed and presented by The Ark and Dr. Lucy Hill.

Podcasting Post Primary Callout

We want to hear from students about how they will Make Their Mark for Creative February.

We are inviting post primary students to submit a podcast of 4-5 minutes on the topic How Will You Make Your Mark.

Below are a video and PDF guide designed by artist Helen Flanagan to guide you through the process of making a podcast.

There are also some fabulous ideas from students in Breifne College Cavan and Gorey Community College Wexford, for possible podcast topics.

How to submit your podcast:

  1. Click on this link to access our permissions form which can be shared directly to parents. *We cannot share or receive podcasts without complete permissions. **Please ensure that you have read the privacy notice provided before you complete the permission form.
  2. Once the forms are complete email your podcast to creativeschools@artscouncil.ie
  3. We will platform your school’s podcast on our website and through Arts Council Social Media.

Online workshops for primary schools

We are once again offering online workshops for primary schools. These were very popular last year, and we hope to give schools the opportunity to take some time out and be creative during Creative February. 

Brigid’s Day event

31 January 2025, 10-11am

Join author Caroline Busher to explore the life of St. Brigid and learn more about the legend of Brigid’s cloak and the significance of Brigid’s cross.
