About the application process
Follow our step-by-step guide on preparing and submitting your application.

1. Getting started
Begin by reviewing the Role Profile and Candidate Information Booklet for the position you are interested in applying for.
2. Preparing your application
Our Competency-Based Role Profiles identify the core competencies that are essential for success in a particular role. You can find a list of these competencies and their descriptions in the Candidate Information Booklets. Please provide a detailed and accurate account of your skills, qualifications and experience in your application.
3. Recruitment process and timeline
This can vary from role to role. Details are provided during the application process.

4. Submitting your application
Applications are made via Hirehive. When your application has been successfully submitted, we send an acknowledgement email. We use the email address and telephone number on your CV to contact you, so please ensure these details are up-to-date.
5. Interested in applying for more than one role?
If more than one position matches your skills and interests, you may apply for more than one role. You must follow the stated application process for each role.
6. Remember to submit before the application closing date
To ensure fairness, late or incomplete applications are not considered. It is your responsibility to follow the application procedures.
Our selection process
The process can vary slightly from role to role, but typically goes as follows:
- Shortlisting. The expert selection panel shortlists candidates based on the information contained in your application (both letter and CV). Applications are assessed against predetermined criteria in the Role Profile. If you are shortlisted, the recruiting team will make contact to invite you to interview.
- First interview. For Higher Executive Officer grade and onwards, you are asked to make a presentation. You will be notified in advance if this is required.
- Second interview (as required). This may also include a presentation or other exercise.
