Mapping your audience

Understanding the local audience can make all the difference to the long-term success of an arts venue. Promoting and developing good practice in audience development and public engagement is one of our key strategic objectives. We developed an Audience Mapping tool to provide valuable insights into your audience. It maps findings from Census 2022 onto 129 arts centres, galleries, theatres and other publicly funded venues around Ireland.

You can filter population data for a given area corresponding to an arts centre, theatre or gallery; or by a range of characteristics, including age, gender, ethnicity, disability status and socio-economic status. Learn more about the people living within a range of drive-times of your venue, and understand who potential audiences might be for different programmes and events.
