We support artists and organisations to create work across and between different artforms and arts practice areas.

Our Multidisciplinary Arts team offers bursaries to multi and interdisciplinary artists and manages grant schemes and funding relationships that are not discipline-specific, such as the Touring of Work scheme.

How we develop multidisciplinary arts

We are currently developing a Multidisciplinary Arts policy statement. This will be published in early 2025. A broader policy and strategy will follow in 2026 and will set out how the Arts Council supports and enables multidisciplinary practice in the future.
