Irish Language Arts and Irish Language Literature
We are committed to the promotion and preservation of the Irish language by supporting the creation of excellent art in Irish and enabling more people to engage with art as Gaeilge.
How we develop Irish language arts and literature
Our Irish language literature policy outlines our commitment to developing the visibility of Irish language literature.
We have a dedicated Irish language arts team and plan to develop a broader Irish language arts policy.

Partnerships and schemes

Ealaín na Gaeltachta partnership
Our partnership with Údarás na Gaeltachta promotes the development of contemporary and traditional arts in Ireland’s Gaeltacht areas. It provides arts organisations and individual artists with funding, support services, and training and mentoring. It promotes initiatives to build capacity infrastructure for the arts in the Gaeltacht.

Dublin City University Irish Language Writer in Residence
We have long-standing Residency and Fellowship partnerships with a number of Irish universities. Writers develop their work in a position of relative financial stability, while students get to further their creative skills with the support of a professional writer. The Irish-language Writer-in-Residence is based in Fiontar & Scoil na Gaeilge on the DCU All Hallows Campus.
