Film
The Arts Council’s role in film is to support film as an artform and is central to the provision of a national infrastructure for film culture in Ireland. Our film policy is focused on the art of film and supports film artists and provides for, and develops, audiences for cultural cinema.
How we develop film
We develop film culture in Ireland by supporting film artists to make experimental and highly creative authored work and through our investment in organisations that offer opportunities to the public to access cultural cinema and to critically engage with film as an artform.
