Diversity and inclusion at the Arts Council
Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Policy puts EDI at the heart of everything we do. It informs how the organisation is structured, how we operate, who we are, and who and what we support.
Accreditation
We have received Bronze and Silver accreditation from the Irish Centre for Diversity.
Investors in Diversity Bronze. In this first accreditation stage, we established a strong foundation to embed diversity and inclusion into our wider organisational systems. This best-practice model built on existing initiatives to progress our EDI goals.
Investors in Diversity Silver. This second award benchmarked our performance against other organisations nationally. It provided insights into key strengths and areas that require development as we move forward.

Progress through partnerships
AsIAM
AsIAm fosters more inclusive organisations by promoting awareness, acceptance, and accessibility for individuals with autism. The AsIAm Employment Partnership programme supports us with inclusive recruitment processes and ongoing support for Autistic employees.

Open Doors
Open Doors offers opportunities to marginalised members of society by creating pathways to work through training, education, employment and entrepreneurship. Through Open Doors, we work with refugees, asylum seekers, non-native English speakers, young people under 25 with educational barriers, and people with disabilities.

Irish Centre for Diversity
We work with the Irish Centre for Diversity and use its tools and services to measure and inform our workplace culture.

JobCare
We believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. As volunteers with Jobcare, we are committed to supporting individuals who are unemployed. We provide you with support and resources to regain confidence and re-enter the workforce.

Back to Work Connect
Our partnership supports midlife professionals returning to work or changing careers. This is a returner-friendly organisation, and we work hard to have a diverse talent pool and to promote age and gender diversity.
